UBC IT EDI Committee
Initiated by UBC IT HR, UBC IT and the OCIO, an EDI Committee was established to develop and operationalize an IT Inclusion Action Plan to align with the Office of Equity and Inclusion and UBC's broader equity and anti-racism commitments. Voices and perspectives from across the portfolio meet to identify the best opportunities to advance IT's EDI priorities and build an inclusive workplace for all.

The UBC IT & OCIO Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee is looking for new members and anyone is welcome. To reflect the diversity of UBC, the committee is especially looking for members who:
- Identify as male
- Have a visible or invisible impairment
- Are new to UBC (under 5 years)
- Are under 30, OR over 50 years of age
- Are LGBTQ2S+
- Are Indigenous
- Are a person of color / racialized
- Are non-binary
Unit EDI committees bring an EDI and anti-racist lens to the unique work and environment of that unit and are a critical piece of changing the overall culture of UBC.
